“I enjoy counselling closely held, family businesses to develop succession plans that take into consideration the varying interests of those family members active in the business as well as those who are not. In those situations where a decision is made to exit the business, I assist in preparing the company for sale; advise with respect to tax considerations; interact with investment bankers and prospective buyers; and assist in negotiating the terms of the deal.”
